The compliance officer/compliance representative is used by companies as a specialist in the field of compliance in order to meet the increasing requirements in this area. The Compliance Officer’s task is to set up and optimise a compliance management system. The system must ensure the maintenance of security and cooperation with other corporate functions.
He is responsible for the legal conformity of all corporate processes and business procedures in the company. He must ensure that all applicable laws are complied with and that internal company standards are observed.
The Compliance Officer is only bound by instructions from the Executive Board. In addition, the compliance officer acts as an interface manager and is therefore subject to a wide range of responsible tasks and duties.
