The PCI Security Standards Council (PCI SSC) is an international, open forum for the further development, improvement, archiving, dissemination and implementation of security standards for the protection of account data. The PCI Security Standards Council (PCI SSC) wants to increase the security of payment and account data by providing information, training and clarification about the PCI security standards.
The PCI SSC was founded by American Express, Discover Financial Services, JCB International, MasterCard and Visa, Inc.
