Securities account transfer

A securities account transfer or transfer of securities account is the process of transferring a securities account from one securities services company to another.

In order for such a securities account transfer to take place, both the old and the new securities account must be active. If the customer did not order the transfer of his securities when opening the custody account, he can also do so vis-à-vis the receiving or the transferring securities services company. As a rule, the securities services companies coordinate among themselves regarding the transfer of the securities to the new securities account. As soon as the process is completed, the securities are available in the new securities account.
