Direct debit

The term “direct debit” refers to a payment transaction, as defined in Section 1 para. 21 of the German Payment Services Supervision Act (ZAG), which debits the payer’s payment account and where the payment transaction is initiated by the payee on the basis of the payer’s consent to the payee, the payer’s payment service provider or the payee’s own payment service provider.
