AML(D): AML is the abbreviation for the English term Anti Money Laundering. AMLD is the abbreviation for the term Anti Money Laundering Directive. The member states of the EU are subject to several EU laws, which define minimum requirements for the prevention of Money Laundering and Terrorist Funding. These EU laws aren’t directly applicable, but are implemented through national laws. In Germany, the most important law concerning this subject is the Anti-Money Laundering Act (GwG).
